Who we are

Ray's Money Ladder ("we", "us") is an independent educational channel on YouTube about saving, debt, and retirement. This policy covers this website, raysmoneyladder.com, and the emails we send. Questions? Write to raysmoneyladder@gmail.com.

What we keep

• Your email address, so we can send you the Toolkit and our emails.
• Your first name, only if you type it, so our emails can say hello properly.
• Where you came from: the short label in the link you followed (for example, ?v=rent-buy means you came from a video description, ?s=facebook means you came from Facebook), and the name of the website that sent you, if any. This tells us which videos are useful.
• The date and time you signed up, and the fact that you checked the consent box, with its exact wording.
• Your choice to unsubscribe, and the date, if you do.

We do not ask for your address, phone number, or any payment or banking information. This website has no advertising and no tracking cookies.

Why we keep it

Only to give you what you asked for: the Toolkit, a welcome email with the download link, six short follow-up emails during your first month, and Ray's weekly email. We also look at how many people signed up from each video, as totals, to decide which topics to cover next.

The emails we send

• One welcome email right away, with the link to the Toolkit.
• Six short emails during your first month, on days 2, 5, 9, 14, 21, and 30: who Ray is, then one simple step for each level of the ladder.
• One email a week at most, "This week with Ray", on Sunday. Nothing new to share, no email. After your first month, it is the only email you get.
• Never more than one email a day, apart from the welcome email.

Every email includes an unsubscribe link and our postal address, as required by the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act.

How to unsubscribe

Click "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any email, then confirm with one click. You can also reply to any email or write to raysmoneyladder@gmail.com.

After you unsubscribe, we keep your email address marked as "unsubscribed" so we never email you again by mistake. If you would rather we delete it completely, just ask: we will delete everything we hold about you within 30 days. See how to delete your data.

We never sell your information

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with anyone for their own marketing. We have never sold personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

Companies that help us

• Cloudflare hosts this website and the database where your sign-up is stored.
• Resend delivers our emails.

They handle your information only to provide these services to us. On the Videos page, the small pictures of each video are loaded from YouTube's servers, and the videos open on YouTube, which is covered by Google's own privacy policy.

Visitor statistics

To count visits, we may use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not use cookies, does not follow you across websites, and does not keep your internet address. It only gives us totals, such as how many people opened a page. We do not use Google Analytics or any advertising tracker. If that ever changed, we would update this policy first and ask for your consent.

Our tools for YouTube, Meta, and TikTok

To publish our videos and read their statistics, we use official tools from the platforms, such as the YouTube Data API (Google), the Meta APIs (Facebook and Instagram), and TikTok's developer tools. Here is exactly what they do:

• They connect only to our own accounts (the Ray's Money Ladder channel and pages), with our own permission.
• They upload our videos, set their titles, descriptions, and thumbnails, and read statistics about our own videos, such as views.
• They do not collect, store, or sell information about other people, including viewers and commenters. We do not access anyone else's account.
• Access tokens are stored securely and can be revoked at any time from our Google, Meta, or TikTok account settings.

By watching our videos on YouTube, you are also covered by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok have their own privacy policies, which apply when you use their apps.

Security and spam protection

The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and the list of sign-ups can only be opened with a password. To stop robots from flooding our sign-up form, we keep a scrambled code made from your internet address for one hour at most. It is never linked to your email address. We may also use Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-friendly check that tells people from robots.

What we store in your browser

If you arrive through a labeled link (like ?v=rent-buy), your browser remembers that label for up to 30 days, so the right video gets the credit if you sign up later. It stays on your device, it is not a tracking cookie, and you can clear it by clearing your browser data.

Children

This website is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, write to us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Residents of California and other states with privacy laws have these rights by law, and we give them to everyone. We answer within 30 days, and we will never treat you differently for asking.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is important, we will tell you by email before it applies.
